If you arrive in Tirumala without an allotted room, TTD’s Pilgrim Amenities Complexes, usually called PACs, offer a practical place to look for shared resting and washing facilities. They are useful to understand before travelling, especially when a family needs to freshen up before darshan. A listing of facilities cannot reserve a space for your arrival.
The five complexes and their locations
TTD’s 8 May 2026 notice identifies these five complexes:
- PAC-1: opposite Govardhan Choultry, near the Central Reception Office (CRO).
- PAC-2, Madhava Nilayam: opposite Balaji Bus Stand; listed with resting areas, Annaprasadam, tonsuring and first aid.
- PAC-3: on the Outer Ring Road between GNC Toll Gate and Rambhagicha Bus Stand; tonsuring is listed here.
- Padmanabha Nilayam: within Balaji Bus Stand; resting, lockers and bathing facilities are listed.
- PAC-5, Venkatadri Nilayam: behind CRO; listed with rest facilities, Annaprasadam, tonsuring and first aid.
The notice says pilgrims register Aadhaar and a phone number for free lockers. It describes hot-water bathing, toilets, mats and blankets among the complexes’ amenities. After darshan, users must vacate lockers and return borrowed mats and blankets. These are the published registration and release requirements; live availability must be established at the facility.

Choose by where your day actually begins
For a family arriving near Balaji Bus Stand, the location descriptions make Madhava Nilayam and Padmanabha Nilayam sensible first enquiries. A group already handling room enquiries at CRO can ask about PAC-1 or Venkatadri Nilayam nearby. PAC-3’s Outer Ring Road location is a different option, rather than another name for the bus-stand complexes.
These are planning suggestions based on the published locations, not turn-by-turn walking directions or claims about which complex has space. Give staff the full name, particularly when asking about Padmanabha Nilayam and Venkatadri Nilayam. Photographing or writing down the correct entrance name before separating can help everyone return to the same building.
Why a locker cannot be your whole accommodation plan
A listed PAC facility or locker count does not guarantee space when you arrive. Establish the group’s rest arrangement before sending some members away to begin another activity.
If someone needs a private bathroom, a bed or predictable uninterrupted sleep, retain an accommodation alternative. A shared pilgrim complex may not meet those requirements. Do not cancel a suitable room merely because a PAC is free. Likewise, no verified source here establishes a guaranteed wheelchair-friendly route from every entrance to every bathing or resting area.
Services within reach, with different operating arrangements
First aid deserves a separate check from locker opening. TTD’s April 2026 medical notice lists PAC-5 among its round-the-clock medical locations and PAC-2 among centres operating from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Recheck medical-service hours before travel. These are published medical-service hours, not a claim that all services in either building follow the same schedule. For urgent assistance, approach staff rather than walking between complexes looking for a preferred facility.
Keep locker keys or tokens and essential documents accessible. Before leaving after darshan, gather everyone’s belongings and return borrowed bedding through the facility’s process. For food planning beyond the PAC, read our Annaprasadam and laddu guide. If dependable rest is shaping the whole trip, our two-day family plan explains how to leave more room between activities.
