Date status, alankarams and daily worship times checked on 17 October 2026 against TTD’s 5 October notice. This limited check does not cover the whole guide, live visitor arrangements or bookings.
TTD had announced Devi Navaratri celebrations at the Sri Kariyamanikya Swamy and Sri Neelakantheswara Swamy temples in Thummuru, Naidupeta mandal, from 11 to 20 October 2026. The announced ten-day programme included a different goddess alankaram each day, morning worship and evening rituals. These details come from TTD's 5 October announcement.

Morning and evening worship
TTD listed Panchamrita Abhishekam and Asthanam at 9 am daily during the festival. All announced morning slots, 11–20 October, have passed. The evening programme included Lalitha Sahasranamarchana, kumkuma puja and Panchaharati. TTD’s announcement does not give an exact start time for the evening rituals. The 9 am time is the festival worship schedule, not the temple's general opening hours.
Finding the Thummuru temples
Thummuru village is in Naidupeta mandal, Tirupati district, as identified in TTD's May 2022 location reference. When looking up directions, use the village, mandal and temple names together. Match the destination carefully rather than relying on a temple name alone.
According to TTD's 15 March 2017 report, TTD took over both temples that day. It names Kariyamanikya Swamy with Sridevi and Bhudevi, and Neelakantheswara Swamy with Ganga Kamakshi. Older records may refer to Nellore district; use the village and mandal alongside the current district name to identify the place.
A short checklist before travelling
- The alankaram dates listed above are historical. For another visit, check a new official announcement rather than reusing this schedule.
- For a later visit, confirm current worship times with the temple before setting out.
- Give your driver the full temple and village details, including Naidupeta mandal.
- Plan the return journey as well. Check local transport availability rather than assuming a late service will run.
- Allow rest time when travelling with older relatives or children. Keep the day's itinerary manageable for your group.
Tickets, registration and transport
The announcement does not provide admission charges, special-service ticket details, a booking link or an advance-registration process. That does not establish either free admission or a ticket requirement. Ask temple staff about the arrangements for any particular worship service you wish to join.
No confirmed details about extra buses, parking, accommodation or journey times are included in this notice. Check these separately. Before using a festival poster shared on social media, compare its year, temple name and dates with the current official announcement.
Historical overlap with Tirumala Navaratri
TTD had separately announced Tirumala's Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams for 12–20 October. Both announced 2026 festival periods have passed. Their different locations and schedules should not be treated as current travel options. One temple's festival notice is not confirmation of entry at another. Our Tirumala Navaratri visit guide covers the separate Tirumala event.
