Archive: event dates passed. The announced Kapileswara Navaratri festival dates, 11–20 October 2026, have passed. This is a historical schedule, not a current invitation. The advance notice does not establish that every ritual took place. Date scope checked against TTD’s 7 October notice on 21 October 2026 at 00:04 IST. See Latest TTD Updates for current information.

Date status, alankarams and festival timings checked on 17 October 2026 against TTD’s 7 October notice, including its detailed Telugu programme. This limited check does not cover the whole guide, live access or bookings.

What to confirm before you travel

The notice gives no daily Unjal start time, ticket prices or booking procedure. Ask temple staff about access to the particular service you want to attend. Check opening hours separately from the ritual timetable.

  • Do not reuse these festival dates. Check current dates before planning a later visit.
  • Check the destination. Use “Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple, Kapila Theertham, Tirupati” when arranging local travel. TTD includes this shrine in its Tirupati temples guide.
  • Keep the return journey workable. Check pickup arrangements before an evening visit and leave a buffer before any onward train or bus.
  • Follow current site instructions. Keep to permitted paths and respect barriers near the water. An archival photograph should not be used to judge present access or conditions.

If this is your first pilgrimage, our Tirupati first-time visit guide can help you organise the wider trip. For a visit that also includes the hill temple, read the separate Tirumala Navaratri archive and current MCC note and check each venue’s arrangements independently.
