The original TTD advance notice scheduled Sri Mahalakshmi Deepa Puja in Kuppam for October 20, 2026, starting at 4 pm IST. It identified the venue as the Deepotsavam grounds near Kuppam tank bund on Vilajapuram Road.
Arrangements announced before the event
In an October 10 update, TTD said Joint Executive Officer Dr. A. Sharath had asked officials to finish preparations. His directions covered shelters and mats, drinking water, sanitation, LED screens, buttermilk and Annaprasadam for devotees.
TTD, police and municipal officials were also asked to coordinate security, parking and traffic management ahead of the gathering.
These were arrangements directed by officials in the advance announcement, not confirmation at that time that every facility was already in place. The originally announced event date and start time were October 20 at 4 pm.
