Tirumala Laddu and Free Annaprasadam: Timings and Tips

Official information checked on 4 October 2026. Counter arrangements and service timings can change; follow the latest TTD instructions during your visit.

After darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, many pilgrims have two practical questions: where to collect laddu prasadam and where to eat. Planning these stops separately helps you avoid joining the wrong queue or rushing your return journey.

Srivari laddu is the sweet prasadam associated with the temple. Free Annaprasadam is TTD’s meal service, with the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasada Complex, usually called MTVAC, among its main facilities. This guide explains the collection process, additional-laddu purchases and the published meal timings.

Planning your first visit? Start with our Tirupati first-time visit guide. For an overnight trip, use our two-day Tirupati trip guide alongside this article.

Collecting the laddu associated with darshan

In its announcement dated 3 June 2026, TTD stated that one regular laddu was provided free to each devotee along with darshan. Keep your relevant ticket or token available and follow the collection instructions given for your darshan category. Ask TTD staff which queue applies before joining it.

The same announcement described round-the-clock operations at the Laddu Complex. That is a dated operational report, so check locally if you will arrive very late or need a particular counter. Leave time for collection rather than treating the end of darshan as your departure time.

Buying additional laddus at a kiosk

TTD’s kiosk instructions, published on 23 June 2025, describe this sequence:

  1. Go to an official kiosk near the laddu distribution counters.
  2. Choose the option for a valid darshan ticket or the option for visitors without a darshan ticket.
  3. Follow the ticket-verification or Aadhaar instructions shown for the option you selected.
  4. Check the quantity and amount displayed, then complete the UPI payment.
  5. Collect the printed receipt and take it to the laddu counter to receive the laddus.

Payment and collection are separate steps. Keep the receipt until you have collected your purchase. If payment succeeds but no receipt appears, ask the official staff for help before trying another payment.

TTD’s June 2026 report also confirms digital-payment kiosks for additional purchases. For prices and purchase limits, use the current display or ask the counter staff: older notices should not be treated as a universal limit for every visitor today.

Can you buy laddus without a darshan ticket?

In June 2025, TTD described a kiosk option for visitors without darshan tickets, using a valid Aadhaar number and UPI payment. An official inspection report dated 25 December 2025 confirmed this facility for visitors without darshan. Check the current kiosk instructions when you arrive. A laddu purchase does not provide a darshan booking.

Use the official process yourself or seek help from identifiable TTD staff. Avoid handing identity details or payment access to someone offering unofficial assistance.

TTD’s June 2026 account of its Annaprasadam programme confirms free meals at MTVAC and additional service locations, including queue-complex and pilgrim-amenities facilities. These locations can have different arrangements; do not assume that each serves the same meal at the same time.

The official Annaprasadam Trust page, checked on 4 October 2026, publishes this MTVAC schedule. All times are local Indian Standard Time:

  • Tiffin: 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • Lunch: 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Dinner: 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Use these hours as a planning reference and check the signs or ask staff on the day. The published schedule includes a gap between lunch and dinner. Arrive with time to spare rather than aiming for the final few minutes of a session.

Follow the dining-hall queue and seating instructions, take only what you can eat, and leave the space ready for the next group. If you need assistance or have a specific food requirement, ask before joining the queue rather than assuming an arrangement is available.

A simple plan before your return journey

  • Allow separate time for darshan, laddu collection, a meal and reaching your departure point.
  • Decide how many additional laddus you want before reaching the kiosk, subject to the available limit.
  • Keep collection receipts together and check your purchase before walking away.
  • Agree on a meeting point if members of your group separate.
  • Protect the prasadam from being crushed in your luggage.

Quick questions

Are additional laddus free?

Additional kiosk purchases are paid separately. Follow your darshan entitlement and the current purchase instructions.

Is Annaprasadam available 24 hours?

Do not plan on that. MTVAC has the published sessions above; other distribution points have their own arrangements.

What if my darshan finishes after the meal session?

Ask TTD staff which food service is currently operating. Keep enough flexibility in your travel plan to arrange a meal if that session has ended.
